The first FINA Diving development school of 2013 for diving officials (beginner to intermediate level) was organised in Singapore from January 12-13. FINA TDC member Ann Sissons from New Zealand trained 21 participants, 15 of which passed the final examination.

The course was divided into theory and practice. Judging practice was done at the pool with beginner divers.

"All participated and are now familiar with how and when to use and hold flash card, as well as electronic devices, and basic judging categories and putting dives in the context of competition," Sissons said.

"This course has evolved to satisfy participants new to diving or wanting to reinforce and improve their knowledge," she added.
