A total of 54 divers from 22 countries are confirmed to attend the FINA Diving Qualifying Event, a dedicated qualification event for the 1st Youth Olympic Games (Singapore), which will take place at the Jalisco CODE Aquatic Complex, in Guadalajara, Mexico, on March 12-13, 2010.

Young men and women, aged between 16 and 17 years old, will compete in two events: 3m individual springboard and 10m individual platform.

Day 1 will see the 3m springboard for men and 10m platform for women. On Day 2, the 3m springboard and 10m platform will be held for women and men respectively. The top 12 divers of each preliminary will advance to the finals.

At the end of the two-day competition, nine divers per event will have qualified. To these 36 athletes, will be added two more per event (a total of eight) based on the NOC Universality Places quota. Finally, four divers (one per event) from the host country (Singapore) will also take part in the Games, bringing the grand total of divers to 48.

FINA will be represented at the 1st Youth Olympic Games (from August 14-26) in diving and swimming, with a total of 400 young men and women athletes selected for swimming.
