Press Release

Lausanne (SUI), August 24, 2015 - The 11th edition of the FINA World Women’s Junior Water Polo Championships came to an end in Volos (GRE) on Sunday August 23, with team USA winning the tournament (13-10) in a tough final against Spain. The U.S remained unbeaten during the entire competition in Greece.

Spain grabbed a well-deserved silver medal as the team was very consistent throughout the whole Championships. Russia, who grabbed the third place, beating Canada 15-8, proved that it can be a very competitive team, showing a steady progress since the last edition, where the Russian players took the fourth place.
