Junior Women's WP Championships, Volos, Day 2

FINA World Junior Water Polo Championships

Τhe most balanced group in the World Junior Women’s Championships is proved to be Group C, where four prosperous teams are fighting for the first place. Italy was the big winner of the games in the second day in Volos, beating Australia (8-7), whereas Nederlands and Canada reached a confident draw (15-15), with the spectacle to impress the people who watched the two games.

In Group A, Greece was the winner of the most important game, in a crucial victory against Russia (16-13) that will normally give to the host country directly one of the tickets to the quarter finals, if they beat Japan tomorrow afternoon (20:00 am). Τhe suspense was major for at least 3 periods in the game, but in the last one, Greece ameliorated their defense and celebrated the second win in the competition, in front of the citizens of Volos, that applauded the effort of the Greek team. In the other game, Japan beat Great Britain (22-8).

In group B, Brazil and Hungary obtained their second win against South Africa and New Zealand.

Easy wins for Spain against Mexico (30-5) and for USA against Ukraine (23-0) in Group D
